Some companies and organizations require their employees to wear uniform.what
are the advantages and disadvantages of wearing uniform.
Dress code at workplace has been made mandatory by
some firms.It is beneficial in creating harmony among workers but making dull and boring atmosphere at work is
one of the demerits of this trend upon that I will shed light in the upcoming
paragraps.
One of the topmost merits of this is that it will
create uniformrity among employees . In
the absence of dress code people sometimes feel inferity because some workers are
from mediocre families and can not afford expensive clothes ,thus, an
inferity complex takes birth in them that consequently in most situations lead
to less productivity in their work.So, dress code at work will creat equality among workers .In addition to this ,it also saves money
because if people follow dress code ,they need not to buy different dresses for each day
,especially this will be a great assist to those who belong to average
families.
As far as the demerits of this trend are taken into
account , it will make the working
atmosphere dull and boring .Each day employees have to bear same color code and
this may create monotony in their work
.To cite an example ,where there are no restirictions over employees in concern
of wearing dresses ,there people stay in
energetic and happy mood and give their full potential in work ,according to a
study by World Employement Sector.Moreover ,the uniform may not be very
comfortable to wear.Some formal dresses can cause uneasiness while performing essential tasks that distract the
attention of employees.
To conclude,having a dress code at work can create
uniformity and reduce financial burden
of employees ,however,certain negative impact as causeing boringness and uncomforableness ,can not be overlooked,but
,I think these demerits are negligible as compared to the advantages.
