 In some countries ,celebs earn more than senior politicians. What are the reasons ?Is this a positive or negative development?

High salaries of famous people always an issue of debate among social scientists  .it is commonly seen that the income of celebrities is exponentially high than that of high rank political leaders .This is attributable to number of causes ,and in my  perspective it is a negative development that i will discuss further in the upcoming paragraphs before making a final note.

There are plethora of reasons why celebrities earn more than the politicians these days .The main reason is that modern man is living a tiresome and stressful life and they need  some sort of entertainment ;these celebrities are good source of it. That is why they have huge fan following and their programs are watched a lot ,in return they earned a lot than political leaders who earned a fixed amount of salary and appear among public during the elections .In contrast, artists never skip a chance to be among the people to have more fans. Another reason is that they have a very short span of career .A sportsperson and a film star ,for example  earns a maximum 15-20 years ,they earn till they work ,and once they are out of work they faces a full stop. Like other professions they do not get the benefit of pensions. Hence ,their high income is fully justified in view these reasons.

The big difference in the earning of political leaders and celebrities is a negative development due to many reasons .Initially ,many politicians shirk work because of meager pay . To be more precise ,more pay means ,more attentive and  honest public servants .High salary ,further ,works as an anti -corruption measures. In Singapore the prime minister ,for instance ,earns $1 million annually ,which is four times more than the salary of USA present .These high salaries ,in Singapore ,apart from decreasing corruption ,are also seen to attract the best talent ,who would otherwise go into finance and computing .Moreover political leaders also sacrifice their personal lives just as celebs do to serve the public.They sometimes have no time for themselves and for their families .In fact they are always surrounded by  the paparazzi and cannot enjoy life like a layman .therefore these politicians should be paid more because their service is not less than that of celebrities 

To conclude ,there are several reasons why celebrities earn a great amount of income ;however ,by keeping in view the sacrifices of political leaders this discrepancy is a deconstructive one on the whole.
