More and more people are now moving away from an agricultural background to cities for work. What will be the consequences of this? What solution you can offer?
Migration from countryside to urban regions for better standard of living has become a common phenomenon .the most obvious effect of this trend is the problem of finding employment in towns ,and some viable solutions can be applied to mitigate the bad impacts of this rising interest among people .
Moving to cities does not always prove beneficial to many people, a lot bad impacts can be seen . Initially, it becomes hard for village people to find job in urban areas because they are not literate enough to get a job with handsome salary ,as it is visible that to survive and to face the expenses of living in big cities a person must have good work ,As a result, most people cannot easily adjust to the life in a city. A survey :conducted in 2000 ,for instance ,revealed that in cities the ratio of unemployed people is of those who have come from rural areas without any proper education. Also ,due to this , they have to struggle for their basic needs and also for the education of their kids. Moreover, this trend will increase the population in cities that results in the poor quality of life and affect the environment because more and more buildings will be constructed to provide accommodation to people by replacing the green areas and parks. The hectic lifestyle and pollution in cities, finally , affect their health. Since many of the rural people lack skills, they may end up getting a low paying job and this could make them even more depressed.
Commencing with the solutions to tackle this issue the first and the foremost step is to educate rural people whether they want to live in villages or desire to move in towns. In illustration, If people get information and training about the working new techniques, they can increase their production and earn more money. Another solution is, the government can motivate village people to open side business: a co-operative dairy , for example, can be opened, which will increase their income. The government ,moreover, should give subsidies to those investing in rural areas because, with the government’s help, industries can escalate which increases job opportunities in rural areas.
T o conclude ,deterioration in living standards ,and the bad effects on the health of people are some clear results of rural migration to metropolitan regions ;however, by providing basic vocational and technical training to villagers as well as by giving other benefits these bad impacts can be sought out .
